Welcome To The Garden Groove Project!
The Garden Groove Project is a kids-helping-kids educational and fundraising initiative organized by singer/songwriter/educator, Dana LaCroix, to help support the creation and maintenance of school gardens and encourage healthy lifestyles for children. The song was written by Dana and a group of 5-7 year olds and recorded by the kids themselves!
We are currently raising funds for The Roosevelt Elementary School Garden on the North side of Binghamton, NY. Established with funding from the United Way and run by Eat Well, Play Hard, Binghamton!, this garden project helps kids learn about planting, tending, harvesting and preparing their own fruits and vegetables.
What it costs: $10
What you get: An email with an mp3 of the song, an mp3 of the karaoke track, and a lyric sheet so you can sing along! You also get the satisfaction of helping kids help each other.
Where the money goes: One hundred per cent of song sales go to The United Way of Broome County earmarked for the Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School Garden
Proceeds are donated to Eat Well, Play Hard, Binghamton. For more information, contact The United Way of Broome County.
Please Note: It can take up to 48 hours before you receive the tracks in your email inbox.

Dana LaCroix and The Garden Groove Kids
Rehearsing and Recording the Garden Groove!
After jamming ideas for the groove, lyrics, and the title, of course, Dana and the kids finished writing "The Garden Groove" on October 3rd, 2015!
A few rehearsals later, the kids went into the studio to lay down the tracks. Seth did a great job singing lead!
Working in the Garden
The kids had a great time getting the garden ready for planting. After a season of growing, weeding, watering and tending by the kids, supervised by Eat Well, Play Hard Binghamton and Americorps, the harvest was bountiful!
